Welcome to Lumberton FOP

With School Starting Sept. 8, 2009 we would like to remind everyone of some school safety.  Members of Lumberton F.O.P., Lodge # 201 wants every child to have a safe and fun school year.

Walking to and From School
  • Find and easy way to walk to school or the bus stop.  Ask your parents if there is anything you should watch out for along the way.  Always walk with a brother, sister, neighbor or a friend.
  • Don't talk to strangers, go anywhere with them, or take anything from them.  Report anything or anyone that is suspicious to the Police or School Staff immediately.
  • Know your phone number and address, even your area code and zip code.  If you have trouble remembering them, write them down and keep them in a safe place, like your book bag.

In the classroom
  • If another student, even a friend, asks you do something you don't want to, don't do it.
  • If you get into an argument, talk it out.  Fighting will get you hurt and will probably get you in trouble.
  • If anything bothers you or makes you feel weird or uncomfortable, Tell an adult you trust.

After School

  • If you stay home alone for a few hours after school while your parents are at work, call and check in with them as soon as you get home.
  • Never answer the phone or the door when you're home alone.  If you need the police dial 911.
